Seeing all of the destruction caused by the fires last week has been heartbreaking. The Cleveland PTA, in coordination with the school, has decided that we would like to help.  There are a lot of people who need assistance and we feel this is a great opportunity to teach our Eagles the importance of coming together in times of crisis and helping in whatever ways we can.  We will be collecting donations of both goods and funds Monday 1/13 through Friday 1/17.  All goods donations will be given to several Los Angeles area YMCAs that are helping affected families and have asked for specific items.  All funds donated will be given to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, a 501(c)(3) which is actively seeking funds to equip our LAFD members battling wildfires with tools and supplies.  Here is how to drop off donations:
  • The office will accept them all week.
  • Drop off items at the iReady Workshop on Tuesday 1/14 at 6:00 PM in the library
  • Drop off items in front of the school on Thursday 1/16 from 5:30-7:30 PM.
  • Drop off items during the Sunrise Social on Friday 1/17 from 7:15-7:50 AM.
